52V vs 72V eBike Batteries: Which System Do You Need?

Voltage is the first fork in the road when you plan a conversion. It decides which kits you can run, how hard the bike pulls, and what the build costs. Here is the difference in practical terms.

The one rule that matters

Your battery voltage must match your kit. A 52V pack pairs with our 1500W and 2000W kits. A 72V pack feeds the 3000W and 5000W kits. You cannot mix and match: the controller, motor and battery are designed as a system.

What 52V gives you

A 52V system is the sweet spot for most riders converting their first bike. The packs are lighter and cheaper, chargers are smaller, and a 1500W or 2000W build on 52V still reaches 45 to 65 km/h assisted, which is more than enough to put a grin on your face. What 72V gives you

Voltage is electrical pressure: more of it moves more power through the same current. A 72V system unlocks the big motors, with 100 to 160 Nm of torque and 65 to 80+ km/h assisted speeds. The trade-offs are real: packs are heavier and dearer, and the extra pace demands better brakes, tyres and suspension. 72V is for experienced riders building something serious.
