Terms of Service

By purchasing or using products from F1 Ebikes, you agree to these terms. Please review them before placing an order.

Where you can legally ride our conversion kits

Our conversion kits are for off-road and private property use only. They cannot be made road legal.

Australian law limits an e-bike on public roads, footpaths and bike paths to 250W of continuous motor power, with assistance cutting out at 25 km/h. The motors in our kits are rated far above 250W. Fitting one to a bicycle takes that bicycle outside the legal definition of an e-bike, and no display setting or speed limit changes that. Capping the speed does not change the motor's power rating.

A bicycle fitted with one of our kits is legally a motor vehicle. It cannot be registered as one, so it cannot lawfully be ridden on any public road, footpath, bike path, shared path or car park anywhere in Australia.

Where you can ride it

  • On private property, with the landowner's permission.
  • On land where high-powered electric vehicles are expressly permitted.

Riding one of these kits in public can expose you to penalties for operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, including fines and loss of licence. If you injure someone, you are unlikely to have any insurance cover. If you need a bike you can legally ride on the road, you need a 250W road-legal kit; we do not sell one.

By placing an order you confirm that you understand this, and that you accept responsibility for where and how you ride.

Assumption of risk

E-bike components can produce high speeds, torque and electrical power. Customers are responsible for safe installation, maintenance and operation, for using compatible components, and for complying with applicable road and e-bike laws.

Orders and product information

Check product compatibility, voltage, wheel size and delivery details before ordering. Performance figures are estimates and vary with rider weight, battery, terrain, tyres, weather and riding style.

Warranty

Eligible manufacturing faults are handled under the warranty information supplied with the product and our refund policy. Warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, crash damage, incorrect installation, water ingress from unsealed connections, incompatible components or over-volting.

User responsibility

  • Use appropriate tools and follow safe installation practices.
  • Inspect the bike, fasteners, torque arms, wiring and brakes before riding.
  • Stop using a product if it appears damaged or unsafe.
  • Seek professional installation if you are not confident completing the work.

Limitation of claims

To the extent permitted by law, F1 Ebikes is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from misuse, unsafe operation or an installation that does not follow product requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

some of our repairs and builds

k5 8kw

This K5 8kW came to us after a rough experience with a competitor who held the bike for over two months and barely made any progress on the necessary repairs. The only issues were worn brake pads and the need for a new front brake system. We sourced and installed everything within two days, getting the bike back to its owner quickly and safely.

tdr 1500w

this repair ment a fair lot to me, it was a young man first getting into ebikes, his dropouts were totaled and was told by others to get a new frame that offputted him from riding bikes, he brought in his bike and explained the situation, i installed custom torque arms to dramatically decress load on on the dropouts by 400% ,the bike was stress tested vigorusly to make sure he will never have to worry about his dropouts, the bike passed the test and the client still rides his bike to this day

2000w ebike

A client came to us after purchasing a 2000W eBike kit off Facebook Marketplace. Unfortunately, the controller failed within a few weeks of use. To upgrade the setup, we installed a 45A high-performance dual-mode controller for improved durability and power. Additionally, we fitted torque arms to ensure stability and safety under high torque

1500w ebike

A client brought in their 1500W eBike experiencing motor issues and requested custom torque arms. After a thorough inspection, we identified that the hall sensors were failing, causing the motor to act up. To resolve the issue, we reconfigured the controller to run sensorless, ensuring smooth and reliable performance. We also installed custom torque arms for added stability and durability
