The 40A Dual-Mode Controller is the electronic brain that drives your motor. Dual-mode means you can switch between two riding characters, from a calm, easy pull-away to a sharper, more responsive throttle.
It is built to work with F1 conversion kit builds, so it is an easy choice whether you are putting a kit together or replacing an older controller.
Sinewave vs Squarewave
- Sinewave. Feeds the motor a smooth, rounded power wave. Near-silent running, gentler pull-away, finer low-speed control and a cooler motor. The pick for street riding and commuting, and what F1 kits ship with.
- Squarewave. Delivers power in blunt on-off steps. Slightly rawer throttle response with a touch more punch off the line, but louder, with an audible motor whine. Simple and robust, suits off-road builds where noise does not matter.
